Miscarriage, Adverse Childhood events and care in the Emergency Department

The aim of this study is to explore the experiences of women who have a history of adverse childhood events and who received care in an Australian emergency department for a miscarriage (also known as an early pregnancy loss).

To be eligible for the study you must be:

• Over 18 at time of loss
• Occurred loss since 2011
• Experienced a spontaneous loss of pregnancy at <13 weeks
• Have one or more adverse childhood events
• Presented to an Australian ED for care for this loss
